Another Batch of Pictures

Waiting at the train station, heading out for a Mexican Dinner, are (L-R) Jeremy, Wes, Susan, Kathy (all you can see is her right foot), Brandt, Monique, Rob & Brian.

And after some good food and one or two margaritas, here's the gang piled into the train: Mary, Jeff, Monique, Susan, Rob & Kathy.

Our Mexican night out gave us some Olympic inspiration

We're almost ready for the games; just a few slight adjustments yet

The Olympic Stadium one night prior to the opening ceremonies

Below, our boss, Bob, prepares to present us each with a Leatherman Super Tool. We have to promise not to use them on each other.

Here's the NBC Comms group, minus Tony, during the opening ceremonies. That's (L-R) Mary, Willie, Monique, Bob, Sean, Craig & yours truly.

Broadcasters from all over the world are here at the IBC. One of our neighbors is Seven Network from Australia. Besides broadcasting the Olympics to the land down under, they produce a show each afternoon which airs live back home at 11PM. 'The Dream', with hosts Roy Slavin & H.G. Nelson, takes a humorous look at the games. Today's guest was Greek singer Nana Mouskouri. They have a small studio audience of about 50, mostly media workers. So in case you've wondered what us TV-types do with our free time, we sometimes go to...TV shows!

After 'The Dream', with about an hour to kill before work, we took a quick walk around and through the Olympic Stadium.
Monique & Susan are pictured below in the Olympic Stadium.

As storm clouds gather in the in the distance, Monique and Susan strike a pose

Susan & Jeff braving 50 mph winds in the Olympic Park; and Jeff takes a turn holding the Olympic torch while getting sand-blasted by those same winds. Cool!

Meanwhile back at the IBC, Bob Costas on the set, above, and John Pinto on the camera, below, in Studio One.
